What Box Are You In?

I went to my mastermind meeting a day early so I could tour the Frank Lloyd Wright houses in LA.

At one point, the tour guide mentioned Elon Musk lives in the neighborhood we were driving by.

She want on to mention that he wanted to build a tunnel from the area he lived in to Space X to avoid the rush hour traffic.

I experienced the rush hour traffic first hand. It took me an hour and 20 minutes to get to the tour and over an hour to get back.

At one point, I looked at the driver’s GPS and it said 10 miles – 40 minutes.

The driver on the way back took a short cut and said – hey, there’s Space X.

I mentioned the tour guide’s comment.

He laughed and said Elon Musk is one of those people who think up different ideas. Some call brilliant. Others crazy.

In either case, outside the box.

When someone tells you that is a crazy idea, say – thank you. And expand on it. If you want to tell someone they have a crazy idea, take a step back and see if it is really crazy or just different.
