It’s Always a Good Time to Start

I hear a lot of people talk about this being the “slow” season for their business.

Everyone is busy with the holidays they say.

Waiting until January is their answer.

The truth is, there is no better time than now.

Now is the perfect time to start.

Why? The longer you wait, the less likely you are to do it. You become complacent. You reinforce the habits of delay, dissuasion, and distraction. Procrastination becomes your middle name.

Your ego tells you – it’s really not that bad.

Wait until… Then “until” never comes.

This just makes it more difficult in the future.

What you do this month can determine your entire next year. And given this is the beginning of a new decade…

1. Take a kind glance at your life. Make a list of things that you have yet to do.
2. Pick the top 3.
3. Schedule each in your calendar for this week.
4. Do each on the date and time scheduled.
5. Repeat steps 2-5.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. Taking a step is all you need to start the momentum. Each step you take gives you confidence.

Just do it!
