Happiness
“Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions.”
– Dalai Lama
Last week I created a really great post. I set-up my email ahead of time like I always do. I had everything ready earlier than ever. Then I left for a training conference in Orlando. When I shut down my computer, it asked: “Do you want to leave this page.” I assumed I had done everything I needed to and said Yes. Monday morning, I went to send it out to my FB page and LinkedIn and discovered only the previous week’s blog was there. I could have reacted in many ways. I could have been annoyed at myself and chastised myself for being so “stupid.” That is one of the words I used to use when I did something like this. Instead, I decided to create my blog differently, so I have a backup, and be happy in the moment.
Can you laugh with yourself and get curious when things happen or do you berate yourself. I encourage you to examine your thoughts. Ask how can I see this differently so I create happiness. What action can I take to create happiness and be grateful in all things. The action could be noticing and changing your thoughts.
Do something fun everyday. Choose to be happy. Laugh. You will be amazed at how much better you feel.
Here’s to creating fun, laughter and happiness!
