Being Grateful

For those of us in the US, Thanksgiving is this week. A day when we get together with friends and family and celebrate all the things we are thankful for.

It reminds me of a song we sing at Unity called “This is My Thanksgiving Day.”

Everyday can be your thanksgiving day. It just takes being grateful. Be grateful for the vision of the life you would love as it’s unfolding. Be grateful for everything that has happened to/through you to get you to this place. Be grateful in this day.

Do you take time everyday to be grateful? To really feel grateful.

Vibrant Living Tip

Start a gratitude practice this week. If you already have one, find a way to deepen it.

Here is one that I am doing right now…

Before you go to sleep every night, right down 5 things that happened that day that you are grateful for. Make it 5 different things each night. And write it down. Keep a journal and pen next to your bed to make it easy. Every morning, before you get out of bed, speak aloud things you are grateful for.
