Do You Believe In Failure?

What are your thoughts about failure?

Do you see it as something to be avoided at all costs?

Or as inevitable?

When Thomas Edison was asked how he was able to stay positive after 10,000 failures when creating the incandescent light bulb, his answer - I never had a failure. It was all feedback.

I invite you to shift your perception and start to see failure as feedback. See failure as a steppingstone as opposed to a stumbling block. A way to learn what didn’t work, so you can discover what does.

Vibrant Living Tip

Redefine failure. The truth is that you only fail if you quit.

In the book “You2” Price Pritchett has a whole chapter called “Seek Failure.” In it he says – if you send a rocket toward the moon, about 90% of the time it’s off course. It fails its way to moon by continually making mistakes and correcting them.

Look back on any perceived past failures. Were they really failures? Or did something good ultimately happen as a result? Redefine them to see them as necessary to your current success.

Vibrant Living Take Away

Be comfortable in the discomfort. See failure as feedback. A steppingstone. To the live you love. Take action. Learn. Take more action. Keep going.

Until next time...

Dream Bravely.
Act Boldly.
Live Vibrantly!
