Celebrate Your Accomplishments in 2019!

This week, I am trying something new…

A message from the vault of sorts.

As I get ready to attend a mastermind event with one of my mentors, Mary Morrissey, I decided to look over some previous messages.

I found this one, not a blog post, an email about my New Years webinar. It mentions one of my past masterminds. Perfect.

I changed it slightly to be a look back on 2019 so far…

As we approach the last 5 months of 2019, I want to invite you to take a kind glance back on the year.

We all had goals and aspirations for this year.

I want to encourage you to make a list of everything you have accomplished in 2019 so far.

Celebrate everything on your list.

This is very important.

Let me tell you why…

I was at a mastermind workshop last week (last November) with my coaching buddies and one of the women at my table shared that she had manifested her dream cruise to Belize.

One of the presenters suggested we go around the table and each celebrate the things we accomplished that year.

My immediate reaction was…

“I didn’t accomplish anything.”

I panicked. You see, I hadn’t accomplished my financial goal for the year. In my mind that meant I accomplished nothing.

“What am I going to say when it is my turn?”

I sighed and resigned myself to the fact that I was just going to say, “I didn’t accomplish anything.”

Something extraordinary happened next.

As each person celebrated things they had accomplished, I heard things I had done.

For each person I said to myself…

“I did that.” I did that.” “I did that.”

What I realized was, I accomplished many things.

Yet my mind saw only that one thing I didn’t accomplish and said - YOU DID NOTHING!

When it was my turn, I shared 7 or 8 things of the many things I actually did accomplish. And I felt so much better. I was able to celebrate no matter how big or small they were.
