Do You Ask For Help?
When I was younger, I used to do everything myself. I never asked for help.
One day, I was talking to a friend about what I did the day before.
I had taken my lawnmower in for a tune-up.
She was shocked that I lifted my heavy lawnmower into the trunk of my car by myself.
“You could hurt yourself, you know!”
I said: “I’ve been doing this for 3 years and haven’t gotten hurt yet.”
“Next year, call me. I’ll help and we can go out for breakfast.”
So, I did.
And I learned to ask for help with other things.
It was a fun way to share things with others.
The stronger I became emotionally, the weaker I became physically.
