Happy New Year

We are entering the last year of the current decade. 10 years. I have been thinking about that a lot lately. You see, for the first time in my life I created a 10 year vision.

The interesting thing is in the Career and Creative Expression section I wrote one word - Retired.

I looked at that word and thought – huh, I wonder what that means.

It reminded me of what my father said after he retired.

He said he didn’t know how he had had time to work. He filled his days with activities. He had a lot of fun. He started teaching sailing. He travelled. He also ate at least one meal a day out everyday.

He provided me with a glimpse into a retirement that makes me smile at prospects of my version of retirement.

I wonder what new and fun activities will be keeping me busy when I “retire?”
