How Do You Use Your Imagination?

Everyone knows about our 5 senses (see, hear, touch, smell and taste). We also have 6 mental faculties that are just as important, if not more important than our senses.

In the first week of “Into Your Genius,” we explore imagination. You can use your imagination to create a life you love living or to destroy all your hopes and dreams. Some people say they don’t have an imagination. And yet, if I say – a loved one is 2 hours late and you have no way of getting a hold of him/her. What would you be thinking. Your imagination would go wild.

Imagination is our ability to build big beautiful pictures for what we want most. We used imagination really well when we were a child. We were always imagining things. Including our future. We were always being asked what we wanted to be when we grew up. We might have even had imaginary friends. We want to remember that everything is created twice. First in the mind and then in reality. This is where our imagination comes in.

This week pay attention to what you are thinking and when you are thinking something that is contractive or causes you to feel less than your usual happy self, stop and make a choice to imagine something different. Something fun. Something that causes you to smile.
